Part of the job of an architect is to know how their buildings or projects will work. Yes, we tend to focus only on the job or task that has been given to us. It is either works on the architectural plans and designs or the construction process. But we need to let ourselves be exposed also on how the building will operate and standards to be checked if have been considered after the project is done.
As I've mentioned on my last blog (The MICE Industry), MICE which stands for Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition, is essential in country's economic growth because it can cause a highly positive impact for the country's economy as it raises the national income and provides more job in the country when there are proper integration and employment of MICE facets. MICE is also considering as one of the growing sectors of ASEAN countries. Through the help of MICE, the ASEAN countries will be able to achieve their vision of becoming a quality tourism destination offering a unique, diverse ASEAN experience, and have the commitment to sustainable, integrated and healthy tourism growth and make important contributions to ASEAN people's socio-economic well-being. It is somehow important to set guidelines for all the members of the state in order to make their property competitive so that they will be able to work together in providing a quality MICE venues to the visitors and making ASEAN as a competitive region, and this will be done through introducing ASEAN MICE Venue Standards.
Furthermore, these sets of criteria/requirements shall serve as an aid and guide to bring out the best service of the project to the users. Take note that the operation process, along with standards and requirements, is a key to bring forth the project into a success.
